Paines & Gray Kitchen Design
Prior to working with Paines & Gray, our customer had explored options with the big brands but felt they couldn’t achieve what they wanted and sought a more personal, tailored service from an independent like us. We were delighted to be involved and worked closely with the customer to achieve their dream kitchen.
One of the major changes to the layout was switching the dining room and kitchen spaces. Previously, the dining room was in the vaulted ceiling extension, with the kitchen taking up the internal room, but as part of the renovations to the house, a wall was removed, and the kitchen moved into the main space.
This is a much better configuration for a sociable, family kitchen with more natural light, space and access to the garden.
Our customer had a strong vision for the kitchen and the look they wanted to achieve with a two-tone colour scheme and shaker style. The Gainsborough beaded shaker by Mereway was the obvious choice with its more ornate styling on the doors. The Indigo Blue on the low units and Pale Grey on the tall and wall units are a classic colour combination and work so well in this space.
