We recently completed a great bathroom project for some lovely customers in Reigate using our sister company, Reigate Interiors, which specialises in renovation projects.
Our customers are an elderly couple, living in an older house and needed to make some practical changes to the bathroom.
The previous set-up was a little dated, with a separate WC. Additionally, the customers now need a walk-in shower, rather than a shower over the bath, so both rooms were no longer practical.
Before
Transforming the space
Managing the entire project from start to finish, bringing in contractors, tilers and plumbers under our supervision, we transformed this dated bathroom setup.
The major change to the two rooms was to move the toilet into the main bathroom, creating a spacious wet room in what had been the WC. This is now a practical, user-friendly, large wet room complete with a built-in seat.
Both rooms were given a luxurious update with Ca’ Pietra tiles throughout. On the walls, we used the California tile, which is a large, polished statement tile. On the floor, we’ve used a Victorian-style patterned tile to tie in with the property’s period features. Comfort and practicality being key, there is also a new heated chrome towel rail, a heated LED mirror, and, of course, underfloor heating.
The sanitaryware is by Duravit, and the lovely, traditionally styled rain shower and shower mixer is Burlington by Crosswater.
